Caribbean Food Growing in London: Broad Leaf Thyme

Hackney is set to welcome back its annual Windrush Festival this June to honour the contributions made by the Windrush Generation and their descendants. The festival will be a chance to discover, learn about, and celebrate a part of British history and its legacy within Hackney.

About This Event

This June, you can learn how to grow Caribbean vegetables at the Allens Community Garden. Learn how to grow scotch bonnet, chillies, callaloo and broad leaf thyme! Learn more about Caribbean food growing cultures and share your favourite recipes. No experience necessary. At this workshop, you will learn how to grow Callaloo. This workshop is for people of Caribbean Heritage to learn how to grow Callaloo from seed, while sharing memories and recipes.
