J4: Windrush Day 2025 - Legacy & Justice

Hackney is set to welcome back its annual Windrush Festival this June to honour the contributions made by the Windrush Generation and their descendants. The festival will be a chance to discover, learn about, and celebrate a part of British history and its legacy within Hackney.

About This Event

Go to St Peter’s Church in De Beauvoir for an unforgettable evening of entertainment, conversation, music, and action. Hosted by actor and Justice4 CEO Colin McFarlane (The Dark Knight, Doctor Who), the night features exclusive campaign film screenings, a live Q&A with special guests, and more to be announced. Expect live music from a 5-piece Windrush band, Caribbean food and drinks, and rum punch courtesy of our sponsors. Local organisations including Migrants Organise and Queertopia will be there to share their latest campaigns and offer ways to get involved. Learn. Reflect. Celebrate. Act.
