Hackney Circle Project: Peer Gallery Workshops with Artist Aya Haidar

Join Hackney based artist Aya Haidar at Peer, as she leads a series of collaborative and creative hands-on workshops responding to Peer’s exhibition and the interests of Hackney Circle members.
About This Event
Taking inspiration from Peer’s 2025 exhibition programme that explores themes of oral history, family and disability. Aya will work with Hackney Circle members to produce a series of fabric works commemorating the voices and views of Hackney residents.
These workshops build on a series of workshops Aya facilitated for Hackney Circle members at Peer in 2023. We are looking forward to seeing familiar and new faces join these workshops!
Often using found and disposable objects to explore themes of labour, displacement, domesticity and memory, Aya works across generations to examine handed down skills, community stories and cultural traditions within our intercultural society.
Project held in partnership with Hackney Circle. This project will take place monthly between Thursday 3rd April 2025 - Thursday 31st July 2025. If you are interested in attending, please email fiona@peeruk.org Outlining which dates you would like to attend, call on 020 7739 8080 or talk to a member of our team at the gallery.
