The Enchanted Cinema - Where the Wild Things Are & Totoro
Immersive, interactive cinema- become a pop-up orchestra creating live scores with live FX to Studio Ghibli + Where the Wild Things Are.
About This Event
We are delighted to launch a new collaboration with The Enchanted Cinema in the Delph Room. On July 20th, we invite all ages to go wild with The Enchanted Cinema’s interactive show – Ghibli’s Forest featuring Where the Wild Things Are (the 1973 animation) and our favourite two scenes from My Neighbour Totoro (catbus & flying).
We start with a warm-up climb into the forest canopy using our hands and voices before kids and grown-ups team up with instruments – turtle drums, lyre harp, zaphir chimes, gong, bird flutes, ocarinas and bamboo canes – to create a live score to the mysterious island and inhabitants that Max encounters (including your narrating of the book), followed by Totoro!
