About This Event

Mumia Abu Jamal is an internationally celebrated writer, radio journalist and political prisoner in US. For over four decades his voice has travelled over prison walls - through phone calls, radio, podcasts and public rallies. Known as ‘Voice of The Voiceless’ his words have connected communities and kept the fires of resistance burning. This event reflects on his powerful role and looks forward to how audio histories can build momentum toward Mumia’s liberation and our collection freedom.

What to expect:

ARCHIVAL AUDIO PRESENTATION - tracing Mumia’s voice across the decades by looking at his audio production catalogue

A DISCUSSION + CALL TO ACTION - about how we can ensure Mumia’s voice reaches more people and build a strong movement to bring him home. Booking is essential. You can book by visiting: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/mumia-abu-jamal-the-sound-of-resistance-tickets-1401410128419
