Workshops: Djembe Rhythms (Round 2)

Groove to the rhythm of West Africa with Master Drummer Abass Dodoo in this exciting series of workshops.
About This Event
Discover the art of the Djembe, a versatile drum used for storytelling, communication, and celebration. During the workshops, you will master and play basic rhythms and techniques under the guidance of the One Drum team while collaborating with fellow members to create a powerful group performance. The sessions are open for all Hackney Circle members including members that are already attended a previous Djembe Rhythms session. There will also be an opportunity to perform at Sadler’s Wells East, one of East London’s newest theatres.
This project is funded by Cultural Hackney.
Important: This sessions will take place every other week until October 2025.
