About This Event

Directed by Alain Kassanda, Coconut Head Generation is a compelling observational documentary that captures the political awakening and intellectual energy of Nigerian students at the University of Ibadan.

The event will open with a pre-recorded introduction by Adebimpe Oluwafunmilayo Adeyemi, one of the leading students involved in the film club featured in the documentary. 

Curated by Phoebe Beckett Chingono, Damilola Lemomu, and benjin, this programme is supported by Hackney Council’s Black History Season Fund.
