About This Event

See reminders of the area’s wealthy past, including connections to the Rothschild family, and visit the school attended by a notorious criminal. Find out about the church led by a man who proclaimed himself the new Messiah but avoided a challenge to walk across Clapton Common’s pond. The walk also includes the early home of Helen Bamber, the human rights activist who worked with Holocaust survivors.

Walks of Interest are moderately paced walks up 2 hours in duration and incorporate periods of standing.

Sessions must be booked in advance and we do not accept same-day bookings. Waiting lists will be created as if needed. Priority is given to Hackney residents or those registered to a Hackney based GP surgery.
