About This Event

See the ancient village with a 15th-century house. Find out how cheap workmen’s rail tickets and terraced housing turned it into an aspirational suburb. Learn about the area’s music history, including Ian Dury, Johnny Dankworth, the Beatles and East 17 who named themselves after the local postcode.

Walks of Interest are moderately paced walks up 2 hours in duration and incorporate periods of standing.

Sessions must be booked in advance and we do not accept same-day bookings. Waiting lists will be created as if needed. Priority is given to Hackney residents or those registered to a Hackney based GP surgery.
