About This Event

This week's Hackney Circle Silver Screen film is Nuremberg

Screening on Thursday 20th November at 14.20.

May 7th, 1945. Hermann Göring, Hitler's second in command, is captured by Allied troops on the final day of WWII. What follows is the unprecedented pursuit of justice against the Nazi leader and his contemporaries as the world comes to terms with the horrors of the holocaust.

From director James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) comes the utterly compelling true story of Nuremberg. Led by an unflinching performance from Russell Crowe as Göring, against the careful complexity of his opposing psychiatrist, Lt. Col. Douglas Kelley (Rami Malek) and Michael Shannon's Justice Robert H. Jackson, it's a stunningly nuanced, resonant psychological courtroom drama.
