The Museum of the home are currently running our regular Almshouse 14 guided tours as free drop-ins, with an optional donation.
Discover what it was like to live in Hackney 200 years ago on tours of our restored 18th-century almshouse dwellings. Embark on an interactive walk through Almshouse 14 to see for yourself how residents kept warm, slept, ate, and did their washing centuries ago.
Check in at the Welcome desk upon arrival at Museum of the Home to reserve a spot.
Accessibility Information
There will be 2 tours. The first at 12:10pm and the second at 2:00pm. The tour will last for 45 minutes. The Museum of the Home is fully accessible.
